Happy New Year all

Hi everyone and just wanted to wish you all a happy new year and here's to lots of happy hours of stitching.

Well I am hoping to make this year alot more productive than last year.. First on my list is Henry!!!
He has appeared back on my desk today and I need to be a lot stricter with myself.
Last year wasn't one of the best I have had and some very unsettling times but this year looks to be turning a corner so plans are a little clearer.

I was wondering if there were any of these SAL's that I keep reading about that I could join as I often give up most of the time because I craft on my own a lot. I wondered if this would give me more motivation and company along the way.

Well here's to the start of a new year and see how things progress. I wish everyone all the best.

Bad Blogger

Hi to everyone and not sure if anyone is still following my blog due to the lack of blogging done by me this year. I started with good intentions but life has been extremely hectic this year for me with house hunting.
I am pleaseed to say the hunting can now stop at last and after some renovations are done we will be able to move in.
Anyway I just wanted to come on and wish you all a merry christmas and all the best for 2013. I have been stitching but never finishing anything enough to show you all.
Watch this space as they say as I am going to return now things are settling down.
All the best and hope you and your families have a lovely time over the festive period.

I'm still here

Just popping by to let people know I'm still here but unfortunately not much stitching being done at the moment.
First I lost a bit of my mojo and then things started catching up with me and the house hunting game and before I knew it  is the end of Feb already.
I have been trying to catch up with you all and your latest stitching news and projects. You are all so good with keeping going and there are some beautiful works.
Well hopefully I have caught up with myself a bit more and plan now to find some time each week to continue stitching. The Biscornu I enjoyed doing so maybe another one of those and of course Henry keeps looking at me wondering if he ever did get married to six wives or just the one I have managed!!

thanks for popping by and hopefully have something to share with you very soon.
Bye for now

My first biscornu

I haven't done anything with Henry this week as time was a little limited. I am in the middle of house hunting and I won't mind saying it is driving me crazy. I have a child who is a wheelchair user so you can imagine there are certain things that we need and with two other children - four bedroom bungalows are not in abundance. Never mind keep looking and stay calm as we say.

I did manage this week to start and finish my first ever biscornu. I  found putting it together a liitle fiddly but I think it will improve as I make more.(sorry the pictures  are not too good) I found this on Lynn B's blog(Happiness is cross stitching) and thought it would be a nice one to start with.
I found this a fun project to stitch and will be busy now trying to find some more patterns to have a go at.
I'm going to start some little ornaments for Chinese New Year now so will hopefully be able to show you one next time along with (hopefully )a bit more of Henry.

Thanks for taking the time to stop by and have a look. If any of you are interested I do have another blog which is where I have my card making adventures. This week I reached 100 followers(absolutely amazed I was) and next week will be having a bit of a giveaway to celebrate it.You can find the link here if you want to pop over.

Hope you all have a lovely week stitching.
Bye for now

Jane emerges and a little finish

This week I have be doing some more work on Jane Seymour. I think I must have had a visit from those little frogs but eventually got back on track and got going again.

I also had a little finish this week and made a royal pincushion. I just love the colours in this and have always been attracted to Jewel like tones. The design was from a magazine (Cross stitch Crazy issue 15). There are quite a few designs and I'm wondering if they would make some lovely christmas ornaments.

I would like to say hello to Kerry, my newest follower. Kerry has a lovely blog and makes some stunning Biscourni's
I would also like to say hello to Cindy who is another new follower and I just love her work. Thankyou for following my stitching adventure.

Thanks for visiting again and hope your enjoying the progress I am making. Hope you all have a good week ahead and lots of stitching.
Bye for now

Maybe a Wife (or Six)

I haven't been stitching as much this week as I have been sooo busy. I just felt a bit in need of a change from red threads so decided it was about time to add something else . The wife to his left caught my eye with all the lovely blues. If anyone wants to know who(she was his third wife!!)
I also have some pics to show you. I am just like most stitchers and have WIP's sitting in my basket. These were started over the last year and I would like to find time to finish them sometime.
Both designs are from a book called Oriental Odyssey. The first is "Oriental Lady grace" and the second is "Oriental Lady Beauty"

I must get the camera out and start photographing some of my finished work .
I am enjoying reading all your blogs and seeing your progress on all your projects. Stitchers really are such talented people.
Hope you all have a good week. bye for now

More on Henry

This is an update on Henry. Although I have been working on him regularly it feels slow in progress. There are a lot of colour changings going on . I'm going to keep going though and eventually I'll only have the six wives to go !!
Next time I am going to show you some other WIP's that I have. Just need to photograph them.
Well done to everyone keeping up with their new starts. I have been enjoying reading all your blogs.

Thanks for looking and hope you are all enjoying your weekend
Bye for now
